Dr. Joy Asongazoh Alemazung is a political scientist and sociologist. His academic work focuses on state-building, governance, and political transformation processes, particularly in Sub-Saharan Africa. A further focus lies on democracy development, migration, international development cooperation, and the role of institutions and political frameworks for sustainable social development.
His academic approach combines theoretical analysis with practice-oriented research and political experience at the municipal, national, and international levels.
Dr. Alemazung has published numerous academic contributions in international journals, edited volumes, and monographs.
